Easy Christmas Dinner Recipes

Whether you are vacationing at the beach for Christmas, or just dreaming of a beach vacation these easy tropical Christmas recipes are perfect for a simple and tasty beach Christmas menu.

The weeks leading to Christmas are usually so busy that by the time Christmas Day comes around everyone (especially me) is usually exhausted.

Weeks of Christmas parties, Christmas shopping, wrapping presents.  Then midnight mass, and Christmas breakfast…

And of course, the main event Christmas dinner with all the deliciousness and trimmings but none of the fuss.

This year take a tropical Christmas vacation without leaving home (even if you are snow bound).  This meal comes together in no time and is easy enough for even the novice cook.

Gather family and friends from near and far and celebrate Christmas with a fabulous Tropical Christmas feast.

Living in Florida the weather is usually spectacular, (last year we were in bikinis and trunks sandbar-ing Christmas eve) and we plan a relaxing day of football watching, beach walking and a simple tropical inspired Christmas dinner.

The centerpiece of this menu is jerk turkey, we still have the turkey but we cook it on the grill with jerk spices for an absolutely amazing twist on the traditional Christmas turkey.

Once dinner is done we kick back and relax with a cocktail and as the sun goes down we jump on the boat to cruise the canals to look at Christmas lights.

A beautiful, blessed day.

Festive enough for special occasions – simple enough for every day.  The jerk spices coat the turkey under the skin and make the meat especially spicy and juicy.  Bonus –  since the turkey is cooked on the grill  it frees up oven space and the Turkey cooks faster.
So easy to make and so good.  This makes an easy appetizer to feed a hungry crowd.  Serve plenty of crusty bread alongside to soak up all the yummy sauce.

This recipe is so good and so simple.  The beans are cooked until just tender crisp, drizzled with honey and a touch of orange peel.  The real beauty of this side is that it taste best served at room temperature after the flavors have mellowed.
My absolute favorite.  It’s perfect to compliment the spicy jerk turkey, is low calorie and a festive blush color.  Perfection!
