The Plan

Plan A Make Your Own Backyard Pizza Party

It’s time to get out of the house and outside.  The weather is perfect, so take the party outside.  Invite friends and family for a relaxing afternoon making their own pizza creations.
Grilled Pizza
Better than takeout and easier than you think.  Grilling is about to be your new favorite way to make pizza.  Make this super easy on yourself by either making crusts ahead of time and freezing or by premade crusts in the refrigerated section of the grocery.
Creative Toppings
Almost anything goes when topping your pizzas.  Just make sure you have a variety of sauces and cheese + veggies and meats.
BBQ Chicken Pizza
Grab a couple of rotisserie chickens, pull the meat from the breast (save the dark meat for another meal), and you’ve got the start of a super tasty pizza.  Top pizza crust lightly with BBQ sauce, chicken, diced tomatoes, and corn.  Top with Jack and Cheddar cheese.
Homemade Sangria
Mix up a pitcher or 2 of homemade Sangria.  Combine wine with fruit and simple syrup and you’ve got a refreshing cocktail that goes great with pizza.
Other Drinks
In addition to Sangria make sure you have plenty of bottled water – sparkling water infused with the same fruits as the sangria is a festive choice for your designated drivers.
Add a Salad
I love to serve a grilled peach salad with goat cheese.  it’s light and refreshing and pairs well with the pizza.

Stress-free tip:  Ask guests to bring things like dessert, appetizers or their signature dish to make this super easy.
