Throw a Festive Red, White, and Blue 4th of July Barbecue

Throw a Red, White, and Blue 4th of July BBQ
Celebrate Independence day with by throwing a 4th of July Barbecue.
The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. The days here in Florida are long and steamy and it’s the perfect day to gather family and friends for an afternoon pool party and pre-fireworks barbecue.
This year, without fireworks, without the big gathering of neighbors, family, and friends our celebration will look a little different. COVID is resurging here in Florida, beaches are closed and fireworks canceled.
Good news our backyard is still our sanctuary and we have close family and friends that have been staying safe.
So we’ve decided to get creative. We’ll throw a small pool party featuring a menu of red, white, and blue foods. How fun! 🙂
We’ll have sparklers. We’ll celebrate our freedom. We’ll remember our ancestors that fought for our freedom and all the wonderful rights we enjoy as Americans.
I learned this year after taking my Ancestry DNA test, that my ancestors immigrated from Ireland and Germany and fought for our freedom. And my grandparents that immigrated from Switzerland and Italy to make America their home.
I say a little prayer of thanksgiving and protection for our soldiers serving throughout the world to ensure our freedom and our way of life.
I’ve lived or worked in every state (except Nebraska) and can say that from Alaska to Florida and all points in between this is a great country, filled with great people – truly a reason to celebrate!
Have a great 4th of July!
