The Perfect Classic Mojito Recipe

Learn how to make the perfect classic mojito. There is nothing more refreshing than a classic mojito with the balanced flavors of mint and lime. This is my personal favorite recipe and it’s easy to make a single perfect mojito or an entire pitcher. Bonus – this is a great low-calorie drink. When I’m dieting I replace the rum with vodka – still amazingly yummy. Let’s make a mojito.

A Mojito is a traditional Cuban cocktail. The perfect classic Mojito is a cocktail made with white rum, sugar, lime juice, club, and mint.

This recipe will make one perfect classic Mojito, If you want to make a pitcher, just change the serving size in the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz White or Dark Rum
  • 3 leaves Mint
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • club soda
  • Ice I like mine crushed
  • 1/2 lime cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. In a highball glass or a cocktail shaker muddle mint with sugar, lime juice, and lime wedges.

  2. Fill glass with ice
  3. Add Rum and top with club soda.


Recipe Notes

To make a pitcher just change the number of servings and the recipe will calculate the ingredients.

When I'm dieting I replace the rum with vodka - it's still refreshing and yummy plus it has a lower glycemic index.
