How to Make Irish Coffee
When I think about Irish coffee, I’m transported back to the Buena Vista in San Francisco. Irish coffee always feels like a soft blanket to keep the chill of deep fog at bay.
This coffee cocktail is a mixture of brown sugar sweetened coffee, Irish whiskey, and topped with whipped cream.
This is so easy to make and prepare to feel pampered and enveloped by this warm coffee cocktail.

Irish Coffee
Ingredients
- 2 t light brown sugar
- 1 c brewed coffee
- 2 oz Irish whiskey - such as Bushmills or Jameson
- 1/2 c whipped cream - for topping
- Chocolate shavings - if desired for topping
Instructions
- DIRECTIONS
- Add 1 t light brown sugar to each mug. (this recipe makes 2)
- Add very hot coffee and stir to dissolve sugar, then add whiskey.
- Top coffee with whipped cream.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.
