Creating a creative crudités platter can be intimidating if you are trying to stick to a budget and it’s not farmer’s market season. It’s easy to pick-up everything you need to create a beautiful and tasty crudités platter at your local super market.
The key to a budget friendly vegetable tray is to think about texture and color and splurge on a veggie or two. For this platter I splurged on the colorful baby carrots.
Another trick I use for sticking to a budget is to shop at BJ’s and buy vegetables I’ll use throughout the week in my platter.
- Cauliflower (if you can find purple cauliflower it looks awesome on the platter)
- Green Beans
- Snap Peas or Pea Pods
- Mini Peppers
- Cherry or Grape Tomatoes (I love the Wild Wonder™ heirloom baby tomatoes)
- Radishes (watermelon radishes look great)
