Ever wonder how to make a balsamic vinegar glaze? I always have plenty of a balsamic vinegar on hand but sometimes a recipe calls for a balsamic vinegar glaze and I don’t have any in the pantry.  So had to learn how to make my own a balsamic vinegar glaze.

I love to use balsamic vinegar glaze over fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, a simple topping for grilled chicken or grilled fruit.

 

Balsamic Vinegar Glaze

Super simple and easy to make.  If you want to make a larger batch this will keep (almost) forever in a tightly sealed container.  It does not need to be refrigerated.

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan bring 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. Reduce heat, and simmer until vinegar is reduced to about 2 tablespoons and syrupy (about 2 minutes).

  3. That's it!  Super simple, right?
