I love queso blanco and wanted an easy way to make it quickly. That’s how I came up with this Easy Spicy Queso Blanco recipe. All the gooey, cheesy goodness, without all the stirring and melting. Grab a bag of tortilla chips, a mojito and dig in.

Easy Spicy Queso Blanco Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 pound white American cheese cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 oz green chilies 
 chopped
  • 2 pickled jalapenos finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • cayenne pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place cheese, milk, and butter in a large microwave bowl.
  2. Cover and microwave for one minute, remove and stir.

  3. Repeat microwaving until all cheese has melted. Add more milk if the sauce seems too thick.

  4. Stir in green chilies, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
