Easy Chocolate Covered Strawberries are so delicious.  They add a romantic touch to any Valentine’s meal, anniversary or birthday dinner.  The key to awesome chocolate covered strawberries is perfectly ripe strawberries + good quality chocolate.  Once you have the basic recipe down you can add toppings of your choice.

Suggested Toppings:


Chopped pistachios

White chocolate drizzle


Tiny chocolate chips

Tiny candies

Chopped hazelnut

Drizzle with caramel


Easy Homemade Chocolate Covered Strawberries

So easy and so romantic.  Give these a try using the plumpest, ripe strawberries you can find. 



  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • 4 oz bittersweet chocolate
  • 2 oz white chocolate optional


  1. Thoroughly rinsing and drying your strawberries.

  2. Chop chocolate (and white chocolate if using)

  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  4. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler. Make sure the chocolate is thoroughly melted and smooth, whisk often while melting the chocolate. 

  5. Once the chocolate is melted, hold the stem of the strawberries and dip each one in the chocolate.

  6. Place each strawberry on the baking sheet. 

  7. If you are dipping the strawberries tips is white chocolate - melt white chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler. Make sure it is thoroughly melted and smooth, whisk often while melting the chocolate.

  8. When all of the strawberries are dipped and placed on the baking sheet, put the baking sheet in the refrigerator and cool the strawberries.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries will keep tightly covered in the refrigerator for 2 or 3 days.
