Crispy Peppered Bacon Recipe
Learn the secret to make perfectly crisp bacon. Get perfectly crispy peppered bacon every time without the mess of stovetop frying and without out all the grease. Add a touch of sweetness with a little maple syrup.
Crispy Maple Peppered Bacon
- 1 lbs bacon - thick cut
- 1 T black pepper - fresh ground
- 1 T Maple Syrup - or more to taste
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- Place an ovenproof wire rack on a cookie sheet lined with tin foil.
- Place bacon in a single layer, making sure to keep the bacon flat.
- Brush bacon with maple syrup
- Sprinkle bacon with fresh ground pepper.
- Cook for 8 minutes and turn bacon.
- Cook for an additional 5 -10 minutes. Keep an eye on the bacon, so that it doesn't burn.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel covered plate.
- Serve warm.
