Crab Stuffed Portabello Mushroom Burger Recipe

This Crab Stuffed Portabello Mushroom Burger is a family favorite twist on the traditional burger. Rich crab paired with a meaty portabello is so delicious.

This recipe calls for a Miami Onion Roll for serving, if you can find them they are amazing, if you can't find them substitue another type of soft onion roll.


  • 3 oz cooked cracked crab or cooked canned crab
  • 1 oz blue cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fat free sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large portabella mushroom
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 Miami onion roll or other soft onion roll


  1. Heat grill to about 400 degrees F.
  2. Combine crab, blue cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese
  3. Stuff portabella with crab mixture
  4. Cook stuffed mushroom for 10 - 15 minutes over med heat. Mushroom should be tender and crab mixture should be brown and bubbly
  5. Heat roll
  6. Spread Dijon mustard on 1/2 of onion roll
  7. Place stuffed portabella on top of mustard
  8. Top with other 1/2 of roll
  9. Serve hot
