Not Your Basic Burger
Try one of my burger recipes or get creative and make your own creation. Burgers pair well with so many different toppings. It was really hard to choose which of our favorite burger recipes to share. We do a lot of cookouts and are constantly dreaming up new burgers.
Build Your Own Burger
Almost anything goes when topping your burgers. Try putting out the basics like ketchup and mustard + other more unique toppings, like grilled pineapple, guacamole, pico de gallo, spicy BBQ sauce, bacon and a variety of cheese and even onion rings.
Veggie, Turkey, and Crab Burgers
There are great options for the vegetarians in the group. And for the folks in the crowd that has sworn off beef, try turkey burgers, salmon burgers or crab cake “burgers”. Our vegetarian eats seafood occasionally so we love to make salmon burgers.
Flights of Craft Beers
Seems like a new craft brewery opens every day around here. We love sampling the latest batches at our favorites (we have one that’s walking, uh stumbling distance). Grab growlers of several different styles of beer, choose one brewery or try several and make flights for people to try. Must remember most craft beer has a higher alcohol content than Bud Light. Many of our local breweries have started making craft soda which makes this fun for kids and the double D ( Designated Driver).
Mocktail – Flights of Craft Soda
Many of our local breweries have started making craft sodas So even the kids and the double D ( Designated Driver) can get in on the flight fun. If your local breweries aren’t selling craft sodas, you can find a nice selection at Whole Foods.
Or serve on of my favorite Mocktails Virgin Mules – just pour ginger beer (not gingerale) over ice in a copper mule cup add 1 t of lime, garnish with a lime wedge and now you have a festive nonalchoholic option.
I love these watermelon slices on a stick. Easy to eat + just the right amount of sweetness to finish a BBQ meal.
Stress-free tip: Ask guests to bring things like dessert, appetizers or their signature dish to make this super easy.
