Ingredients

  • ½ cup paprika
  • 1/2 cup cumin
  • 1/3 cup onion powder
  • 1/3 cup garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup chipotle chili powder
  • 1/4 cup chili powder - good quality
  • 1/4 cup dried oregano
  • 2 1/2 T salt
  • 1-2 T red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Whisk together all ingredients. Combine thoroughly.
  • Store in a glass airtight container for up to 6 months

Notes

BUDGET TIP:

Buy spices you use frequently in bulk at a wholesale store like BJ's, Costco, or Sam's and store in a cool spot in a dark pantry.
Just remember, don't buy more than you can use in 6 months.  After six months spices begin to lose potency and the fresh flavor you count on to make your recipes sing.
When you are ready to use this spice blend mix again thoroughly, spices will settle during storage.
